Denver to Crested Butte:

From the time of the spring thaw, around mid-May to the first fall snow storms there are a number of options including a stunning trip over Cottonwood Pass. 

For the rest of the winter, the only access is via US 50 and then SR 135 north 30 miles to the end of the road in Crested Butte.

If you're driving in the winter or early spring check out conditions at the Colorado Department of Transport.  The roads you'll be using are:

• US 285 from Denver to Poncha Springs
  

• US 50 over Monarch Pass and through Gunnison
  

• SR 135 from Gunnison to Crested Butte
  

Once you enter the town of Crested Butte:

1. Take 3rd left onto Whiterock Avenue

2. Drive past 3rd Street

3. Look for the pink house with the broken skis as its fence

4. We are the driveway right after this, with the house tucked away at the back
